Shirley Powell, ND
I am 53.  I stopped suffering by making a diet and lifestyle change 20 years ago.  I've only had two hospitalizations in the past 20 years, and only maybe 4 very minor crises within that same 20-year time period.  I would be glad to share my story with your group.  I have done that in the sickle cell support groups in the Washington, DC area before.  I am currently also a naturopath.  My website is www.temple-care.net.

Mission - To promote the knowledge and understanding of Sickle Cell Disease as a health crisis and to advocate for people who are living with the disease.
